Members of the Steering Group met with Renee from SRCC and representatives of apT on 5th December at Adderley Village Hall. The representatives from each Parish described their area, population, features etc and also the reasons for wanting to undertake this joint Neighbourhood Plan. Renee then went through a draft schedule of works to detailing who would be doing what and explained how the complimentary skills of apT and SRCC would benefit the project. Costings were also discussed based on the Expressions of Interest already received and also the optional work was explained.
Renee introduced herself, and the work of SRCC, and thanked the group for allowing them to work with the steering group to complete phase 1 of the project along with Apt. The meeting discussed the need to engage and consult with as many of the residents as possible regarding the Neighbourhood Plan and how different events would be required to reach different demographics with day events as well as evening ones. Renee explained the need for a Communications Strategy, incorporating the new GDPR legislation, along with the details of other community groups and any events they were holding that the Neighbourhood Plan group could tap into. It was decided that one, or possibly two members from each parish should meet Renee with all the above information relating to their parish and work out a programme of events across the three parishes.
The grant has been approved by the Neighbourhood Planning Programme Team of Groundwork UK. This is a major hurdle cleared, and allows us to carry on with the Neighbourhood Plan.
On Thursday October 24th Adderley held a Village Meeting in the Village Hall. There were presentations from Adderley C of E School about an exciting Lottery funding opportunity and updates on from the Traffic Sub Committee and the Mobile Phone sub Committee as well as news from the New Village Hall steering group.
The evening finished with a presentation on the Neighbourhood Plan and the progress made over the last few weeks. You can see the presentation below.
An analysis of the Expressions of Interest has circulated and the Steering Group ran through these along with the recommendations that had been made. It was agreed that Shropshire Rural Community Charity be awarded the consultancy work for the first stage, and all the parish representatives voted unanimously to agree.

will run until 23rd October.

At the meeting of the Three Parishes on Monday 26th March it was agreed that a sample document would be made available and attendees would be asked to feedback comments on why the Three Parishes area is suitable for a Neighbourhood Plan.
We should be mindful that we are proposing to cover a largely agricultural geographical area with a very small population. It is important to keep in mind that our wider infrastructure concerns cannot be addressed directly but that a focus on appropriate development can, in turn, influence infrastructure.
